Local Zerto Conference
Cool I just found out there is a local Zerto Conference happening on my backdoor in September. I love the Zerto idea and as more people move to the cloud I see more people asking for DR in the cloud. Anyway you’ll see me there and in their own words :
“Fresh off the success of ZertoCON, the industry’s premier business continuity conference held this past May, we’re proud to announce the launch of ZertoCON Local, the best of ZertoCON brought right to your backyard!
With over 30 global road shows planned from September through November, ZertoCON Local is a fantastic opportunity for you to:
- Hear from industry experts about the BC/DR landscape
- Educate yourself on hottest topics: ransomware, IT resiliency, and more
- Get a glimpse into our latest product road map
- Network with peers on tips, tricks, and best practices”

Running your Go Web Apps on Cloud Foundry
So I wanted to test a Go Web running on Cloud Foundry and I’m still homing my skills in this area. I needed a simple hello world web app and found some Go examples on the web that use the net/http package.
Meet Velostrata at Cloud Expo
Meet Velostrata at Cloud Expo next week in London, Stand 835, demonstrating our latest cloud migration capabilities:
Velostrata de-risks cloud migration because you can move compute while keeping storage on premises. Once you’re satisfied with performance and costs, Velostrata migrates the rest of the data in the background while apps are running. If you’re not happy in the cloud, you can move your workload back on premises with a mouse click. Move production workloads to the cloud in minutes, vs days or weeks – without re-writing the application or modifying images, storage or management processes. Velostrata is the only solution that simply and elegantly handles both compute and storage migration – without complicated application rewrites, consultant hours, and downtime.
I’m going to try to get down there.
