July 19th London VMUG

July 19th London VMUG registration page is now open. I’m may actually miss this because of there is a good chance that I will be doing something new and exciting. I’ll be gutted if I miss it because VMware plan an NDA roadmap session which should be very interesting. Also my chumps over at Whiptail are sponsoring and have a session I’d like to attend.

Other sessions include:

  • Fusion-IO Presentation
  • Whiptail Presentation
  • EMC Labs Throughout the Day
  • Lee Dilworth – VMware Availability Update: vSphere Replication, Stretched Clusters and BCDR
  • Darren Woollard and Gregg Robertson – vSphere Nerdknobs
  • Chris Evans – The Storage Architect’s View
  • Chris Gale – Fusion-IO More Desktops. More Virtual Machines. More Data-Intensive Applications. Faster. Cheaper. Simpler.
  • Matt Northam and Simon Hansford – Government Can Run vCloud, How Skyscape Did It
  • Martyn Storey – VMware NDA Roadmap Session
  • PLEASE NOTE:  Entrance to the NDA session is strictly dependent upon the following criteria: Signed, personal NDA; Photo ID and proof of where you work; not working for a vendor, partner, or competitor

    VMUG Session Source Code

Today I delivered 2 sessions on how to write VMware Apps for novice programmers. I used an example app to demo in my session. I promised to upload the source code so people could see how I developed the application. Please download from here > vDisk Waste Finder (Source Code) (4094 downloads ) < and please let me know if develop your own ideas.

I’d love it if a community of VMware Free Tools formed… If you are interested in forming a vTools Community let me know.
