In 2006 I created a small tool called StressMess to test sessions on Citrix running in a VMware ESX VM. I know there is a plethora of stress/load tools out there but I just wanted a very simple tool that would fire up Excel and Word, do some work randomly, shutdown Excel/Word and wait sometime before starting again. I think it will be a simple tool to use in stressing VDI environments too. I just updated StressMess try it out for yourself. Microsoft Office needs to be installed and it requires no install, just run the exe found in the zip file.
