My first ever VMware support request

Author: I’ve been using VMware since 2001-2002 and decided I would try to track down my old VMware workstation product keys. The earliest I could find was 2003 VMware Workstation 4 upgrade key. However I did find my first ever support request I submitted with VMware dating 13/03/2002. I decided to tweet it out see if any VMware tweets could trace it and I got a reply within minutes:

I think I have a whole bunch of Workstation 1.x builds on CD somewhere c.1999 must go and dig them out one day
You probably beat me as I only remember having Workstation 2.x
… I know where my 3.x, 4.x, 5.x, 6.x, 7.x codes are but cannot locate 2.x..But the proof is right there in VMware support history..
